In May, Deputy Director Rita Castor held a staff meeting with the Field Office 9 to update everyone on the changes in the office. After the update the staff gather for group picture.

The SE Region staff held a three day WSC Service Specific Training from April 26 to April 29 for the new Waiver Support Coordinator (SWC). Fifty-two WSCs from the SE and Southen Regions attended the training. The training included a detailed overview of the APD Waiver Services Handbook, Family Care Council and Questionnaire for Situational QSI Assessor Information (QSI). During Employee Appreciation Week, May 8 – May 12, Gerry Driscoll and Rita Castor and Southeast Region supervisors held an ice cream lunch party for the SE Region staff to express their appreciation for all they do. During the party, Yvonne Roberts received her 30-year of service to the state of Florida certificate. Yvonne is a Human Services Program Analyst in the Quality Improvement Workstream.
