Children at Work
Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day was celebrated on April 28 in Tallahassee at the Florida Capitol’s 22nd floor. The top floor of the Capitol building was abuzz with hundreds of children who visited state agency informational tables. Department of Economic Opportunity Director Cissy Proctor and State Representative Alan Williams spoke at a news conference about working hard to achieve your job goals.
Displays were set up for the children to visit and learn more about job opportunities in the private and government sector. The Agency for Persons with Disabilities had a table and the children were interested in visiting APD’s Rish Park in the Panhandle.
