DCF Child Protection Summit

On the week of December 16, APD participated in the Annual Child Protection Summit, the largest child welfare event in Florida. The event is sponsored by the Department of Children and Families in Orlando. This year’s theme was Strong Team Strong Families. APD teams from the Regional and State Office participated in professional development workshops that focused on common child welfare situations. A highlight from the summit was the inspiring opening session by Governor DeSantis and Children and Youth Cabinet Chair and First Lady Casey DeSantis. The summit was a powerful reminder of our mission to support the children whom we serve and to help them reach their full potential and lead healthy, enriching lives.
