Giving Back to APD Families in Need this Thanksgiving

Every Thanksgiving, the Pi Psi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. provides outreach services to local families in need. These families are identified through APD, the Department of Elder Affairs, the Department of Health, and the Gadsden County School District.

Northwest Region Waitlist & Community Affairs Manager Octavius Jackson, who is also the President of the Pi Psi Lambda Chapter, helps to identify APD consumers and families to receive community support through this project. This year, the chapter sponsored Thanksgiving dinner baskets, which they gave out to APD families.

The Pi Psi Lambda Chapter will also provide Christmas services to APD consumers in Gadsden and Liberty counties.
