Liberty County Health Fair
On November 3, APD staff helped promote health and service awareness at the Liberty County Health Fair. This annual event offers screenings, vaccines, a fitness session by LB Boot Camp, and a lunch-and-learn on hypertension. The Health Fair also included a seminar on aging and dementia within the county, which was based on research conducted by the University of Florida.
Other participants of the fair included Walgreens, Florida A&M University, University of Florida, Veteran Affairs Hospital, LB Boot Camp, Big Bend AHEC, and multiple other community and social service organizations.
The Liberty County Health Fair is instrumental in educating the community on health issues and available services in the area.
