APD Participates in Big Bend Farmshare
Last month, the Northwest Region and 20 other service agencies participated in the Big Bend Farmshare event at its distribution center in Quincy. This semi-annual mass distribution event is co-sponsored by the Department of Children and Families. Thousands of citizens were served, and outreach was provided from Jefferson, Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla, and Franklin counties. These Big Bend families received fresh produce, meats, non-perishable goods, and winter items. Service agencies provided education and counseling in addition to various health screenings.
The Northwest Region participated in the Big Bend Farmshare event in Quincy last month.
