NCI Staff Stability Survey Invitation

The Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) is participating in the National Core Indicators™ (NCI) Staff Stability Survey and invites eligible providers to participate. The survey pertains to the employment of Direct Support Professionals (DSP) by agencies in Florida. The survey seeks information from companies providing direct support in residential, in-home, and/or non-residential settings to adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. For the data to provide the most value, it is important that all providers participate.

Providers have until May 31 to complete the survey. The information requested includes Direct Support Personnel (DSP) wages, numbers, benefits, turnover, and services provided from January 1-December 31, 2018.

Survey responses are completely confidential. APD staff will not have access to the answers of individual providers, and no other Florida providers will be able to see your answers. Qualified providers who have not received an invitation to participate in the survey can contact Ed DeBardeleben at Edwin.DeBardeleben@apdcares.org or (850) 414-9273.

At the conclusion of the Staff Stability Survey, a report will be produced by NCI to show the Florida average and how we compare with other states. This report will be available to the public. No agencies will be identified. APD will examine the report results to determine if policy changes might be needed to increase DSP quality and stability.

APD is excited to be a part of this wonderful opportunity to hear directly from provider agencies about their Direct Support Personnel workforce.
