Children’s Day at the Capitol

Hundreds of children and families came to the Capitol on March 26 in celebration of the 24th annual Children’s Week. APD communications staff hosted an informational booth, where they shared resources and answered questions for parents and foster parents, grandparents, guardians, teachers, advocates, and others.

Exhibitors from many government entities, organizations, and businesses filled the Capitol’s courtyard with interactive displays, informational materials, and promotional items. Children enjoyed face painting, games, music, storybook reading, and more activities.

Correspondence Manager Chancer Teel, APD Communications Director Melanie Mowry Etters, and Deputy Communications Director Zoe Linafelt shared information with parents and foster parents, grandparents, guardians, teachers, advocates, and others who attended Children’s Day.
