FAMU Health Fair

The APD Northwest Region participated in Florida A&M University’s Homecoming Health Fair last month. This annual event encompasses the involvement of various agencies and businesses that provide supports to our community. Over 60 community partners participated by conducting small presentations, completing wellness checks and health screenings, in addition to providing demonstrations to stimulate education and awareness on a variety of topics for those in attendance. Our agency’s participation afforded an opportunity to educate the students and provide input for their career readiness for professional fields related to operations and services. The Waiting List and Community Affairs unit also educated the community on the services we provide to our population and families.
