Reliable, Dutiful, Dependable - Tacachale Resident Worker Appreciation Day 2018

On April 11, the Tacachale work program recognized 149 resident workers for their reliable, dependable performance in such diverse jobs as housekeeping, recycling, document shredding, assembly work, and service aide positions. Each resident marched across the stage of the auditorium, experiencing a moment in the limelight, to receive a Certificate of Appreciation as cameras flashed. An additional five residents received well-deserved Certificates of Achievement to acknowledge their retirement from the Tacachale work program. After the morning ceremony, residents gathered outside the cafeteria for an afternoon of celebration that included games, prizes, a snow cone truck, home-made funnel cakes, ice-cold drinks, and music from local radio station KISS 105.3. To complete the day, each resident received a keepsake item to commemorate the event. The specially-made water bottles – stenciled with words describing the workers and their many achievements (excellent, super, star, special, outstanding, brilliant, and awesome) – will be both useful and commemorative!
