SportsAbility

The Florida Disabled Outdoors Association (FDOA) recently presented SportsAbility, which encourages everyone to be active and enjoy the outdoors. On April 13, Tallahassee Community College hosted the Resource Expo and Indoor Activities, which included basketball, badminton, archery, adaptive golf, and martial arts, music, and dance performances.

Many organizations including APD staffed informational booths for attendees and their families to ask questions and learn more about resources and services available to them.

The last day of Tallahassee’s SportsAbility weekend was at Maclay Gardens State Park and included rock wall climbing, jet skiing, horseback riding, and more.

FDOA’s next event will be the Family CafĂ© SportsAbility Sampler, June 15-17 in Orlando. For more information about FDOA and SportsAbility, visit www.fdoa.org.
