Connecting the Dots 2018
The Area 4 Family Care Council hosted another very successful community event in Jacksonville on April 18. Connecting the Dots 2018 was held at the Schultz Center on the south side of town with more than 300 people in attendance. FCC members Karen Prewitt and Denise Torres led the organizing team for the event.
Agency for Persons with Disabilities Chief of Staff Karen Hagan was the keynote speaker to begin the event. Several other APD employees led breakout sessions including Regional Operations Manager Leslie Richards and Community Liaison Belinda Hoyt.
More than 30 area organizations hosted informational booths for participants to learn about disability issues and programs in the Jacksonville area. APD’s booth was very busy responding to inquiries.
