Southern Region – Developmental Disabilities Awareness Day
Governor Rick Scott declared February 14 as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Day in Florida. Family Corner’s & Associates, one of the Southern Region’s community partners, proposed that the City of North Miami adopt a resolution declaring February 13 as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Day in their community.
The City of North Miami presented a Certificate of Recognition to the APD Southern Region recognizing and applauding our works for people with developmental disabilities. During the City of North Miami Commission meeting, Deputy Regional Operations Manager Hillary Jackson received the beautiful certificate of recognition. The Southern Region will continue to strive to do our best to meet the needs of the community we serve.
