On January 24, Florida seniors, sponsors, non-profit organizations, and state agencies came together at the Capitol for Florida Senior Day. Florida Senior Day is hosted by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs, United Way of Florida, 75 statewide partners, and thousands of seniors. The event is a collaborative and designed to bring together hundreds of corporate, philanthropic, and non-profit organizations support the full spectrum of services and needs of Florida seniors and their families.

APD was represented by Communications Director Melanie Mowry Etters and Deputy Communications Director Katie Strickland, who hosted a table with an informational display and literature for Florida Senior Day at the Capitol.
