Empowerment Parent Resource Center now ready to help families in the Panhandle of Florida

The Empowerment Parent Resource Center of Northwest Florida (EPRC) provides community resources and training to underserved communities in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties in Florida. They have links to resources and agencies on the local, state, and federal levels, and their mission is to support parents, caregivers, and persons with disabilities from ages birth to 26.

The EPRC offers specialized training and workshops for parents, caregivers, and professional staff. They are also compiling the latest in online training and support and have dedicated parent resource specialists on staff.

EPRC will hold its first open house on May 19. They are seeking community organizations and persons who serve people and families with special needs in NW Florida to attend the open house for a meet and greet. You will have a chance to meet their staff and learn more about the EPRC, local resources, and future training opportunities. The open house will be held from 3-5 p.m. at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church, 6205 N. W St, Pensacola, Florida 32505. Please plan to attend and welcome other community members. Empowerment Parent Resource Center now has a Facebook page with local events that are of interest to the community. They are focusing on local organizations that offer services to families in the Panhandle of Florida. EPRC is continuously searching for community resources and information that empowers families with special needs.
