APD is Recognized by PR Association

The Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) won three awards during the Capital Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association’s Image Awards on May 25 in Tallahassee. APD Communications Director Melanie Mowry Etters, APR, CPRC, and Deputy Communications Director Katie Strickland accepted the awards on behalf of APD.

The agency received an Image Award and a Judge’s Award for an interagency public relations campaign to promote the employment of people with disabilities. APD also was recognized with an Award of Distinction for its Public Service Announcements featuring Dan Marino on employing people with disabilities.
