FCDSA Opens Enrichment Center in Flagler County

On August 17, Fun Coast Down Syndrome Association (FCDSA) in Flagler County opened its doors to the community to introduce the Camp I Can Enrichment Center. Camp I Can is a therapeutic learning program where parents are taught alongside students to enhance reading skills, math skills, and assist with socialization skills through planned activities. Camp I Can is held the first Saturday of the month, following the public school schedule. It is free to members of FCDSA and available for a nominal fee to non-members.

FCDSA also provides free dance classes to its members on Saturday mornings with the exception of summer months. Two dance recitals are scheduled throughout the season. FCDSA members also participate in the “Buddy Walk” annually to raise funds.

Camp I Can Enrichment Center gives families access to resources including checking out books from the lending library, getting assistance with an IEP, parent support group meetings, Camp I Can, the Lens & Light project, or various social events.  The Enrichment Center is located at 3601 E. Moody Blvd., Bunnell, Florida, in the Palm Coast Praise Building. At this time, the schedule is by appointment as it is a volunteer-run organization.
