Employee Wins Award
APD employee Melody Taylor, who works in the Lakeland Field Office, recently was recognized by the Ridge Area Arc with the People First! Advocate Award. The honor is given to an individuals who consistently demonstrate a leadership role in the advocacy of people with developmental disabilities.
Taylor has worked with APD since 2006 in various positions serving customers. In presenting her with the award, the Ridge Area Arc stated, “Melody’s ability to actively listen to the individuals served enables her to take a lead role in the advocacy of individuals with developmental disabilities.”
