Pinwheels for Prevention

April was Child Abuse Prevention month, when the Ounce of Prevention Fund sponsors the annual Pinwheels for Prevention campaign in Florida. APD has zero tolerance for the abuse of Florida’s most vulnerable, so it naturally supports this effort to raise public awareness about this very troubling issue.

Doria Moody organized the sale of the pinwheels so that, on April 27, employees of APD’s State Office and Northwest Region Office could join forces to plant a pinwheel garden. APD Director Barbara Palmer led the team of planters in front of the state office building in Tallahassee that houses both offices. A group portrait was taken to show that these employees stand tall in the protection of Florida’s children.
