A free community health fair for individuals of all ages with intellectual or developmental disabilities will be held on Saturday, May 9, in the Leisure Access Center at A.D. “Doug” Barnes Park, 3401 SW 72nd Avenue in Miami. The “Spring Into Wellness” event will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by helping to provide equal access to health screening services. Free health screenings will be available in the areas of Healthy Hearing (audiology), Special Smiles (dental), Health Promotion, and Fit Feet (podiatry). Registration will open at 9:30 a.m. and the event concludes at 2 p.m.

The health fair will be hosted by Special Olympics Florida Healthy Community South Florida and the Agency for Persons with Disabilities as part of their Healthy Community program.
