PR Awards Presented to APD
The Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) won four awards during the Capital Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association’s Image Awards on April 16 in Tallahassee. APD Chief of Staff Karen Hagan and Communications Director Melanie Mowry Etters, APR, CPRC, accepted the awards on behalf of APD.

The agency received an Image Award and a Judge’s Award for its William J. Rish Park brochure. The agency received a Judge’s Award for its APDcares website, and another Judge’s Award for its October Disability Employment Awareness Campaign. Judge’s awards are presented to effective public relations tools and campaigns which use minimal financial resources.
These awards recognize the good work of the APD Communications Office and many others agency employees who helped with the projects.
